Advisory Van Buren Railroad Bridge NM 300.8

Mariners are advised that crews will be conducting rehabilitation work on the Van Buren Railroad Drawbridge (NM 300.8). The work is expected to start on February 7, 2024 and will last approximately 18 days. The drawbridge will remain down during the work, however, onsite crews will attempt to clear traffic on day 9 or 10 while test lifts are being conducted. Mariners will also be allowed to shuttle barges beneath the closed span while the navigation span is clear of equipment. Mariners should contact the onsite workboat, M/V Sir Dolan, on VHF-FM channel 16 or onsite crews by phone at (573) 544-1193 and (816) 721-3261 for more details.
