Promote. Encourage. Educate. Market.

We Work the Waterways is IRPT's new workforce development initiative. Our program stands on four main goals: to promote our industry's opportunities, encourage our nation's workforce, educate youth of the types of careers, and lastly, to market our industry's current openings.

The Problem

Workforce participation remains below pre-pandemic levels. We are missing 1.7 million Americans from the workforce compared to February of 2020.

A Look Forward

We couldn’t be more excited that this new adventure presented itself during our 50th anniversary year!

Our Solution

The We Work the Waterways Program will travel across the U.S. to introduce career/job seekers to our industry.
