Ice Conditions Update: Dresden Lock
The lower wall at Dresden is going under soon. This means no doubles either direction and no southbound set overs. We are taking the width down to 70’ wide due to the amount of ice coming in. All loads will be on the left descending side. Gate is at 41’.
Starved Rock just called me and said that the ice gorges are flowing and headed their way. We have boats in the water trying to deflect as much as they can towards the open tainter gates.
I’ll continue to provide info as it comes in.
