The Saint Louis Port District comprises 10,000 acres along the City’s 19-mile riverfront.  It lies within the 70-mile Port of Metropolitan St. Louis. As defined by the Army Corps, the PMSL has 130 facilities on both sides of the river. It is the most northern ice- and lock-free port on the Mississippi River. Served by 6 Class I railroads and 7 interstates, it is situated within 500 miles of one-third of the US population.
