Port of New Orleans

Port of New Orleans is a deep-draft multipurpose port at the center of the world’s busiest port system — Louisiana’s Lower Mississippi River. The Port’s facilities include 20 million square feet of cargo handling area, more than 3.1 million square feet of covered storage area and 1.7 million square feet of cruise and parking facilities. It is connected to major markets across the continent by the interstate highway system and is served by six Class I rail lines, 50 ocean carriers, 16 barge lines and 75 truck lines.

In addition to its cargo handling capabilities, the Port of New Orleans has an industrial park, with over 1000 acres of properties that it leases under long and short-term agreements. All of the properties are located within 2.5 miles of Lakefront Airport and 7 miles from the New Orleans Central Business District.
