The Fox Smith Marine Team is comprised of lawyers with over sixty years of experience defending marine interests in state and federal courts throughout the United States. Ted has over 30 years of litigation experience with an emphasis on maritime law including many complex multi-party wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and large property damage cases, as well as Coast Guard and OSHA investigations. He has successfully defended numerous high exposure, complex cases in federal and state courts throughout the midwest, working most frequently in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Kentucky. Ted also has substantial experience drafting and negotiating maritime contracts such as vessel purchase/sale agreements, charters, indemnity agreements and terminal handling and storage agreements.
