IRPT issues Public Comment: Levels of Service
On July 29th, a Civil Works Infrastructure virtual meeting was held. The leadership of the U.S. Department of the Army, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Department of Transportation was in attendance. The Federal teams had senior agency leadership personnel present at the event.
The purpose of this session was to provide an opportunity for navigation and industry partners to engage in candid conversation with the Federal agencies about the current state of the waterborne transportation system and what they see as the critical challenges and opportunities we all need to focus on in order to maintain an efficient and cost-effective waterborne transportation system. During the meeting, the Federal team asked a series of questions, to help prompt discussion.
