IRPT is a trade association for the nation’s inland waterway, port, and terminal professionals. Our mission is to provide a platform for inland river port and terminal professionals to improve their businesses and to inform policy makers on the needs and economic impacts of our industry.

There is no cost to attend the Gulf & Intracoastal Waterways Basin Meeting, but an RSVP is required for this event. Members, Non-Members and Industry Professionals all invited. The week’s itinerary is as follows:

In addition, IRPT Members are invited to participate in a luncheon with General Stephen R. Lyons (U.S. Army, Retired) on Tuesday, April 4th (additional details to come). RSVP will be required.

President Joe Biden’s administration appointed Retired Gen. Stephen Lyons, former commander of the U.S. Transportation Command as its new Port and Supply Chain Envoy for the Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force.

Lyons, the administration said, will work with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), the White House National Economic Council (NEC), ports, rail, trucking, and other private companies to address supply chain issues to speed up the movement of goods, and lower costs for American families.

IRPT “Port” members are invited to attend the Ports of the Future Conference free of charge. The first representative of each port may register free of charge. As previously announced, the Port of the Future Conference provides a free registration to one representative from each participating port.
