Emergency Lock Closure: Demopolis Lock

Date: 1/16/2024 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Notice is given to mariners that Demopolis Lock will be closed to traffic for emergency repairs to the upper miter gate starting 16-JAN-2024. The Corps of Engineers is diligently working to analyze the extent of the damage and make necessary repairs; however, a schedule has not been determined to when the repairs will be completed, and lock reopened. A follow-up notice to navigation will be issued once more information becomes available.
